i don't know the first thing about cars so i think people that do have some pretty special skills

why cars?

because it's...well it's hard to explain

but it's the idea that a bunch of basically lifeless parts can come together on their own
and form one cohesive working unit in the form of machinery
everything working in perfect harmony (ideally) to achieve forward motion
power and speed and the sound of the engine coming to life
all by your own hands, your own hard work

i guess that's not just cars and motorcycles but also anything else you put together to make work and achieve a purpose

it's like a puzzle.
it's fun.

i didn't think about cars or such like that before

there was always public transit and my bike
nowadays i walk a lot if i don't take the bus

public transportation is cheaper, i can't blame someone for wanting to save money

but it sounds kind of inconvenient too? why don't you consider getting something smaller. a motorcycle or a moped or anything with an engine.

though i always thought motorcycles were cool

they're more mobile, cheaper, and require less maintenance than cars
better gas mileage and easier to get a license for in my opinion
you should consider it

do you want to or not? i can't help you with actually buying a motorcycle (you've got to handle that part on your own), but i don't mind you using mine to practice.

let me check my work schedule
afternoons are usually better but i think i have tuesday and thursday evenings off this month

we can plan for that then unless you end up telling me otherwise
twice a week would be better for you since you don't have your own bike to practice on
but we can still do once a week if that's too much for you.
